Drafted by the Young Workers Liberation League, in support of Dr. Kenneth Edelin. Dr. Edelin was a Black doctor at Boston City Hospital who was convicted by an all-white jury for manslaughter after performing an elective abortion on a 17-year-old who was six months pregnant. The resolution cites the dedication and competence of Dr. Edelin while criticizing the racist actions of the jury and the larger issues of race in Boston.
