Richardon's Personal Materials Series includes her files from various interviews and press coverage she has received; personal correspondence files arranged loosely by year; miscellaneous photographs and clippings; and her FOIA files from 1983. The FOIA subseries includes redacted FBI files from the agency's surveillance of Richardson during 1964 and 1969, both for her work in SNCC and her affiliations with the Black Panther Party during her years at Drum and Spear.

The Hands on the Freedom Plow Series is closed to research until 2025 except by permission of the donor. Original audiovisual materials are closed to use. The rest of the collection is available for research.
