Randy Riddle note: An early syndicated program that is a continuing serial about a group of singing cowboys. Sponsored by the Socony-Vacuum Oil Company, the show was created by Arthur Church of KMBC, Kansas City. Recorded in Chicago and distributed by World Broadcasting, the series mainly ran in the midwest. There were a total of 65 programs in the series. This set of discs contains the first 26 episodes. The University of Missouri-KC has archival materials on the program and the remaining programs in the series, and all or most of this collection; it's listed in WorldCat. The commercial for Socony would have been heard over the long musical theme at the beginning, read by a local announcer from a localized script originally provided to the individual station running the show. Note that the donation includes digital dubs of all the 26 programs in the set, as well as the discs. Only the first program was posted on my blog so that the Old Time Radio Researchers could trade digital dubs of the discs for more shows for their collections. https://randsesotericotr.podbean.com/e/red-horse-ranch-pgm-1/
