- Kiddie Kandids was the name for a chain of children's portrait studios located in department stores during mid-20th century throughout the United States. No record of the brand's history can readily be found. There is a record of a Kiddie Kandids LLC chain of studios established in 1974 in Sandy, Utah, which filed for bankruptcy in 2010. The name was acquired by holding company CPI Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri, which managed the chain until it closed all its locations around 2013. Currently kiddiekandids.com links to the J.C. Penney Portraits website.
