Series comprises materials concerning Shestack's work as a member and leader in various organizations. Materials demonstrate Shestack's passion for both human rights, the legal profession, and the intersection of the two subjects. Highlights of the series include his work within multiple organizations, particularly the International League of Human Rights, to raise awareness of the persecution of Soviet dissident Andrei Sakharov. Other highlights include his work for Jewish human rights and advocacy and his role as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.
