This large subseries documents Shestack's work on various ABA sections and committees throughout the entirety of his time as a member of the association.
Sections and committees of interest are: the Office of Economic Opportunity, the Commission on the Mentally Disabled, and the Section on Individual Rights and Responsibilities, of which Shestack was a founding member. The subseries also contains documents regarding Shestack's work on the ABA Committee of judicial appointments, specifically relating to his vote against Judge Robert Bork's nomination for the Supreme Court. Documents include some correspondence, conference files, reports, and memorandas.
