Printed materials for this large country group are arranged into the following subseries, described fully below: Agriculture, Arts (divided into Fine Arts and Handicrafts), Biography, Commerce, Education, Economics, Energy and Natural Resources, Health, Industry, International Relations, Kashmir Question, Labor, Language and Literature, Law, Libraries, Mass Communication, Performing Arts, Politics and Government - the largest series, Population and Birth Control, Religion and Philosophy, Rural Conditions, Science and Technology, Social Welfare, Tourism, Transportation, Urban Planning, Water Resources and Irrigation, and Women's Studies.

For undated pamphlets, every effort was made to establish an approximate year or decade of publication; this is indicated by a question mark following the date. In cases where there is no place of publication information, the notation [n.p.] is used. In some cases there is a descriptive note below the entry that adds information about the item such as publication data, commemorative headings, inscriptions, and other contextual information.
