Scope and content:

Includes correspondence, clippings, memoranda, and printed materials. Within this series are letters and documents which pertain to Sydnor's teaching posts at Duke University and elsewhere, his tenure as chairman of the History Department at Duke University, and his involvement in various professional societies. Also included are materials which document Sydnor's role as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Office of Chief of Military History for the United States Army. Arranged alphabetically by either correspondent or subject.
