This folder contains various loose documents that were removed from the day books, including a foolscap bearing sums owed and names of clients and three drafts of an 1861 petition to the U.S. Congress requesting that the Crittenden Compromise be adopted by all states in order to peacefully preserve the Union. Of related interest is a page bearing biblical passages regarding enslaved persons.
