Physical description:
Photographic prints and film negatives housed separately in 7.5 x 5.5 and 9 x 12-inch envelopes. Unless otherwise noted, files include both prints and negatives.
Scope and content:

Primarily reproductions of 16th-20th century medical illustrations and texts, many of which are from German sources, with some housed in the Bettmann Archive (originals date from as far back as 1536).

There is also one file on Trent's medical education and training that includes surgical procedures in an operating theatre and group portraits, plus one file on the dedication of the first Trent Room at Duke.
