Scope and content:

The Triangle Raging Grannies records consist of photographs, newspaper clippings, protest song lyrics, member lists, flyers and other paraphernalia related to the activities of the organization around the Triangle area of North Carolina.

Biographical / historical:

The Triangle Chapter of the Raging Grannies was founded in 1998, and operates in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Raging Grannies are a social justice activist organization made up of women over the age of 50. Raging Grannies was founded in British Columbia, Canada in 1986, and now has chapters around the world. Members often sing at rallies, protests, and demonstrations.

Acquisition information:
The Triangle Raging Grannies records were received by the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book Manuscript Library as a gift in 2015.
