Allan Troxler Personal and Family Materials, 1800s-2024

Scope and content:

This series contains an assortment of Troxler family history and research; documentation from some of Troxler's friendships and relationships - ranging from friendships, romantic relationships, and family relationships, including his siblings and parents; and correspondence to and from Troxler, at times including his relationship with Carl Wittman (CW). (The majority of letters have been sorted into the Carl Wittman and Allan Troxler Correspondence series.) There are photographs, some sketches and notes by Allan Troxler, collected writings and documents by others, and some diary pages.

Topically, the series has some documentation on Troxler's work with RFD magazine; his stewardship of the Coyote Creek, Oregon, property after Wittman's death; materials about purchasing a home and settling in Durham, NC, including the 1808 Vale Street property; assorted biographical and personal materials for individuals like Peg Johnston, Barry Yeoman, Allan Berube, and others; and Troxler's reflections, reminiscences, and diary entries, including reflections on Carl Wittman's death.
