The Duke Amandla Chorus is Duke University's first African chorus, and performs traditional music from various countries in Africa in the respective languages. "Amandla" is a Zulu and Xhosa word that means "power," and the Chorus uses music as an avenue to teach the Duke and Durham community about the multiplicity of African culture, history, and values.
