Background

Scope and content:

Small album (approximately 6x8 inches) contains photographs that document Duke student life in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Photographs include formal portraits, candid snapshots taken on what is today East Campus, and football and baseball players in uniform. Many of the portraits are of male classmates and include Bennett's captions in pen on the image, typically noting the student's name or nickname.

Some images have been removed or damaged. In addition to the album, the collection contains a selection of 23 loose photographs and 4 digitized negatives.
