Topics widely vary including materials related to charitable donations, Doris Duke's 1938 trip to the Middle East, art and furniture purchases, societies and clubs Doris Duke belonged to, and updates about Duke Farms while Doris Duke was in Reno, NV. Of particular interest is the correspondence written during World War II. Topics include Doris Duke's whereabouts during the war, evacuation of English children, and news of what was happening at Miss Duke's different estates during the war.
