Material in this sub series consists of invoices and purchases for the mansion on 1 E. 78th Street including furniture, fixtures, groceries and other household items, and several appraisals of "household effects" and the house itself, completed during different years. Also included in this series are agreements and correspondence between New York University (NYU) and The Doris Duke Foundation for the donation of the house and other monetary gifts to NYU and the overall closing of the house.
