This series contains a mixture of business and personal correspondence. Business correspondence topics include American Tobacco Co., daily transactions, solicitations for donations, and other business ventures. Personal correspondence includes matters related to Duke Farms and personal letters from immediate and distant family members. Correspondence is generally to/from J.B. Duke, but includes correspondence to and from immediate family members such as Nanaline Duke (Mrs. J.B.), Benjamin Duke, Angier Biddle Duke, and Mary Duke.
