Frederick Joerg (died 1983) joined Duke University in 1948 as an Assistant Professor of Economics, where he stayed until his retirement in 1983. During his time at Duke, he taught as a professor of economics, business administration, and forest management. Additionally, he served as asssistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Assistant Provost for Academic Administration.
