Duke KAjok, founded in September 2022, is a Korean American student group at Duke University. Students formed KAjok with the goal of bringing together Korean American members of the university to create a sense of community and a welcoming environment. The group's name was inspired by "gajok", the Korean term for family. The organization hosts social events, collaborates with other student organizations, and shares information and resources on Korean culture. KAjok describes itself as "a home-base for the diverse Korean American and Korea-diaspora members of the Duke community" with a mission to "be an inclusive environment for all individuals interested in sharing and celebrating Korean heritage and culture regardless of race, gender, sexuality, faith, ability, and more."
