Biographical / historical:

Duke Latinx Business Organization (LBO) is a student organization founded in 2019. Created in response to the lack of representation for the Latinx community in Duke's business organizations, Duke LBO's mission is "to prepare Latinx students for business roles at elite firms where Latinx talent has traditionally been underrepresented." The organization focuses on educating and providing members with access to resources in finance, consulting, entrepreneurship, marketing, and tech industries. The organization has developed programming and curriculum for its members that center around mentorship, professional development, community, and access to information. This includes peer and professional mentorship, an Intro to Business course, workshops, networking events, recruiting events, access to alumni databases, and community engagement opportunities.
