In 1973, local fraternity Chi Delta Phi joined Psi Upsilon as its Chi Delta chapter. Psi Upsilon, Chi Delta chapter became a co-ed residential fraternity in 1995. This collection contains composite photographs of the fraternity's members from 1969-2018.

Scope and content:

This collection contains composite photographs of members of Chi Delta Phi and Psi Upsilon, Chi Delta chapter. The materials span the years 1969 to 2018.

Biographical / historical:

Chi Delta Phi was established at Duke University in 1968 as a local fraternity. Shortly after its founding, in 1973, the fraternity joined the national organization, Psi Upsilon, as its Chi Delta chapter. In 1995, the Chi Delta chapter of Psi Upsilon voted in favor of becoming co-ed making it Duke's first co-ed residential fraternity.

The Psi Upsilon, Chi Delta Chapter Records were received by the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book Manuscript Library as a gift in 2022.
