During the early 1980s, the VBLA represented Virago Books, a UK publisher, and attempted to find partnerships and contracts for British books from Virago to be published in the United States. This series includes general correspondence, files for various Virago titles, and materials from some of Virago's partnerships with other publishers such as Viking or Dial Press.
Virago titles are arranged alphabetically by book title; partnerships with other publishers are arranged chronologically; and general correspondence is included at the end of the series.
