Scope and content:

Consists primarily of documents, depositions, news clippings, and correspondence related to corruption, military abuses, and organized crime as well as associated reforms; notes, internal documents, analysis, and reports related to peace negotiations and implementation of peace accords.

Includes cassette recordings of over 20 interviews with Guatemalan politicians and human rights advocates, conducted by George Vickers and colleagues, often with the aid of an interpreter.

Also contains a set of color photographic slides depicting aerial views of Guatemala's border with Mexico, scenes of urban and rural life, a demonstration for disappeared persons, touristic scenes, and a range of informants, interview subjects, and colleagues.
