Correspondence, notes, typescripts, and proofs for History, Nature, and Design, Volume 9 (1989) of The Works of John Wesley. The primary correspondents here are Baker and unit editor Rupert E. Davies, although J. Hamby Barton, at one time co-editor with Davies, appears often in the 1970s files. Arranged as received, in these categories: correspondence; drafts of Davies' Introduction; texts of the individual Wesley works collected in this volume; preliminary texts and Baker's stemmata for all the constituent letters; and concluding with galleys of the final stages of publication.
