Biographical / historical:

Alonzo Williams, professor of Germanic languages and literature at Brown University, was born in Foster, Rhode Island, on September 14, 1842.

Acquisition information:
The Alonzo Williams annotated German book collection, 1878-1895, was received by the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book Manuscript Library as a gift in 1993.
