Advocacy Training Program, 1985-2008

Launched officially in the 1990s, the Advocacy Training Program (ATP)'s primary objective was to build the capacity of local civil society organizations to advocate for rights in their respective communities. Contains planning files, evaluations, reports, correspondence, meeting notes, publications, training materials, thank you notes, handouts, clippings, and other assorted materials related to the ATP's administrative and project files. Multiple countries are featured, including El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Ecuador. Some organizations featured include LASA (Latin American Studies Association), AWID (Association of Women in Development), IPADE (Instituto para el Desarrollo y la Democracia), IEPADES (Instituto de Enseñanza para el Desarrollo Sostenible), IDH (Instituto Interamericano de Derechos Humanos), Oxfam, UNAG (Unión Nacional de Agricultores y Ganaderos), and many others. WOLA staff are referenced throughout; some include Kelly Josh, Hugh Byrne, Josh Lichtenstein, Rachel Garst, and Kimberly Stanton.
