Cuba, 1989-2007

Scope and content:

Contains reports, clippings, drafts, hill drops and sign-ons, memos, conference files, newsletters, resolutions, and other assorted materials related to Cuba. Topics include political dissidents, churches and religious freedom, WOLA conferences and events, Cuba's relationship with the international community, but the majority focuses on US-Cuba relations. Topics associated with US and Cuba include the US-imposed trade and travel embargo or restrictions, as well as the debate to extend them or remove them; alleged links to Cuban terrorist activities after September 11, 2001 and arguments against these claims; and declassified documents on armed conflict and anti-Castro fighter Orlando Bosch.
