Scope and content:

Contains correspondence, reports, meeting notes, clippings, handouts, hill drops, urgent actions, publications, and other assorted documents. Major topics include the administration of Alberto Fujimori and responses to it by human rights groups in Peru and solidarity groups in the US; WOLA and the groups such as CNDHH ("Coordinadora") and PNN activities including advocacy work, delegations to Peru, and meetings; human rights abuses; efforts to shape US policy towards Peru; the Truth and Reconciliation Commission after Fujimori left Peru in 2000; and various conferences and events carried out or attended by WOLA staff. Materials were mainly created or collected by Coletta Youngers. Additional related materials may be found in the Coletta Younger papers.
