Scope and content:

Includes reports, clippings, press releases, correspondence, memos, notes, and other assorted materials. Major topics include the Guatemala Labor Education Project (GLEP) between Guatemala and the US, the investigation of Guatemala's eligibility for the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) by the US Trade Representative (USTR) given alleged abuses of labor activists, labor rights in Chile and the proposed bilateral free trade agreement with the US, and issues with manufacturing.
