Elections, 1990-2004

Scope and content:

Includes articles, elections results, clippings, correspondence, newsletters, opinion polls, reports, Congressional statements, and other printed material related to Mexican elections. Many organizations are featured including Alianza Civica, Academia Mexicana Derechos Humanos, the Carter Center, the Mexican Instituto Federal Electoral (IFE), and various election observer groups. Additional topics include WOLA staff delegation trips to Mexico during elections and post-trip reports, the Mexican media, US Congressional policy pre- and post-election, information on the dissemination of information during elections in all fourteen states, the Mexican electoral process and timeline, political parties such as PRI and PAN, and electoral reform. Significantly, materials from the organization, Alianza Civica are included; these materials consist of election analysis, voting guides, and poll observer manuals.
