The Personal series includes a few items related to Wynter that are not specifically related to particular works. It includes one framed drawing, one yearly appointment book, a few photographs of Wynter taken at speaking events or during an interview, news clippings featuring Wynter, and copies of different iterations of her curriculum vita.
By donor request, purely personal materials were returned to Sylvia Wynter's family and are not part of this collection.

When first received by Rubenstein Library, materials were not grouped into clear series, and significant portions were unfoldered. Wynter's original folders were often unmarked, and contents were often not clearly identified as one work, course, or topic. At the request of the donor, purely personal materials were returned to the donor's family. Materials in the Personal series are loosely related to Wynter's professional life in general.
