Collection contains materials pertaining to the Romance Languages Department including programs, departmental newsletter, examinations, and other printed materials. Many of the items were apparently removed from Professor F.A.G. Cowper's papers. Also present are two ledgers containing grade records for students in romance languages classes, as well as, two publications produced by Duke professors, Para Leer: A Handbook for Reading Spanish and Dos Piececitas. Languages present include English, French, and Spanish. The materials in the collection range in date from 1903-1967, but the bulk of the material dates from 1923-1967.
