Bergh received an appointment as correspondent member to the French Academy of Sciences in 1895 from M.P.E. Berthelot. Most of the material relates to his study of Nudibranchiata, a sub-order of marine gastropod mollusks.

The collection contains material collected by Morgan from the church-related "Women's Conference" held at the Oxford Public Works Complex in Oxford, North Carolina in 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2004. Items include handouts, photographs, meeting agendas, and notebooks. The materials offer insights into the status and relationships of African American women in North Carolina, and their church-related affiliations and activities. Acquired as part of the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture.
