Nancy Watkins Sommers (1930-2018) attended Duke University's Woman's College and graduated with a Bachelor's in Music in 1952. Her scrapbook documents her first year at Duke University (1948-1949) and includes personal notes, invitations, newspaper clippings, and programs, particularly documenting her participation in the Duke Madrigals and her attendance and engagement with music, social gatherings, dances, and performance programs at Duke. Also includes materials from Goon Day, including her hairbow and sign, as well as some clippings from Oxford High School, her alma mater.

Zuriel Waterman was a physician from Cranston, Rhode Island and served as a surgeon aboard several American privateers during the Revolutionary War. He relocated to Edenton, North Carolina after the war. Commonplace book, dated circa 1769-1774, appears to have been created by Zuriel Waterman and Sarah Dean. The name Sarah Dean appears on the inside cover, but many later entries written in a different hand are attributed to Zuriel Waterman. The book contains a number of excerpts, verse, and other writings including: "A Chronological Table of Epithets of the Kings of England," "Versus on Mr. George Whitefield," "A Short and True Description of North Carolina and its Inhabitants," and "Care for bite of a mad dog." Also included is a count of inhabitants in the colony of Rhode Island by locale and race, a sketch of the city of Troy, a petition of the Continental Congress to the King of England, and various religious and political writings.

Jack Lawrence Treynor (1930-2016) was President of Treynor Capital Management. This collection primarily documents his professional life through his correspondence, writings, professional activities, research, and teaching. It was acquired as part of the Economists' Papers Archive.

Collection comprises 176 Turkish political posters, including three duplicates. There are seven series of posters: Korean War, NATO, Historical significance, Commemoration of Ottoman historical figures, Republican-era historical figures, Leftist, and Presidency of the Turkish Republic. In the first, sixteen posters extoll the achievements of the Turkish Armed Forces command or Turkish Brigade in the Korean War between November 1950 and July 1953. In the second series, one poster represents Turkey's relationship to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and another reflects the naval and air force maneuvers of NATO's Southern Command, Greece, and Turkey at Weld Fast in 1953. The third series includes 27 posters that celebrate events of historic national significance and depict international political figures together with Turkish leaders. The fourth series includes four posters that commemorate Ottoman historical figures, including admiral Barbaros Hayrettin, and sultans Mehmet V, Mehmed II, and Selim I. The fifth series includes 14 posters of Repulican-era historical figures, including portraits of World War II generals and political figures. The sixth series contains 63 leftist political posters with political slogans, as well as calls for meetings and demonstrations; most of them date from the second half of the 1970's. The seventh series contains 50 posters issued by the Presidency of the Turkish Republic regarding the failed coup attempt of 15 July 2016.

Triangle Community Works! was formed in 1994 and consists of a coalition of groups, including ASPYN (A Safer Place Youth Network), The Gay and Lesbian Helpline, P-FLAG (Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), and RRNGLE (Raleigh Religious Network for Gay and Lesbian Equality). Collection includes historical documents from several groups in Triangle Community Works!, including ASPYN, RRNGLE, and the Gay and Lesbian Helpline. Materials date from the 1970s to 2008.

Collection comprises a copy of the "Triumphant Whig Song," featuring verses about 8 states and their unwavering support for "Tyler and Tippecanoe." The song is followed by the statement "Samuel Hunt's Ballad," which may denote the tune for the song. The page is also signed by Samuel L. Hay.

Keith Tribe (b. 1949) is a British economic historian and academic translator whose work covers topics such as political economy, the history of economic thought, the development of economics as a discipline, historical figures Adam Smith and Max Weber, and agricultural economic history. Collection consists of materials documenting Tribe's work as an economic historian, particularly as it relates to British economists and the development of economics as discipline in Great Britain. Materials include subject files on and audiocassettes containing interviews with British economists. Other materials in the collection, comprising electronic files, document select publications, teaching, and other professional activities of Tribe. Acquired as part of the Economists' Papers Archive.

Eugene and Margaret Triman both served in the United States military during World War II; Eugene was a sailor and was stationed on submarines, and Margaret was a member of the Women's Army Corps. The majority of this collection consists of Eugene's letters to Margaret while the couple was dating and engaged to marry. There are also five photographs of their wedding day, in April 1946, as well as some newspaper clippings about Margaret's WAC service and two booklets on birth control.

Roy C. Trimiar was an African-American U.S. Army veteran, who served as a private in the Q.M. Det. SC-CASC, Colored, and the Ser. Det. SC-4th, Colored, 1942-1943. He was born in Homer, Georgia and lived much of his life in Cooleemee, North Carolina. He was married to Lola Wood Trimiar (1909-1996). Collection primarily includes letters from Trimiar to his wife in Cooleemee and Mocksville, NC (89 items). The letters begin with their courtship (1939) in Cooleemee, but mainly date from Trimiar's service in the U.S. Army Colored Troops stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., and Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
