In 1938, the School of Forestry at Duke was founded as the first graduate school of forestry in the South. In the 1970s, the school expanded its program to include a broad range of resource and environmental studies. In 1974/75, it became the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Collection contains memoranda, brochures, newspaper clippings, conference materials, annual reports, photographs and slides relating to the Duke School of Forestry and Environmental Studies from roughly 1960 through 1979.

The Erasmus Club was a campus literary society which organized in 1926 for the encouragement of study and research in language and literature, and later, the humanities in general. The collection contains minutes, correspondence, memoranda, students' essays, financial records, announcements and other material. It ranges in date from 1926-1986.

The Environmental Alliance is an undergraduate student organization committed to promoting the implementation of sustainable practices at Duke University. Records consist of documents related to planned events, meeting attendance, and organization administration. Materials related to events include planning documents, photographs, and digital video.

The Duke University Equestrian Team (DUET) was formed in 1976 to provide a means for equestrians to represent Duke University in competitions. Records contain correspondence, programs, reports, financial materials, agendas, membership lists, minutes, a charter application, a constitution, and notebooks. Major subjects include Duke University, sports clubs, horse showing in the southeastern United States, intercollegiate sports, and the Duke University Equestrian Team. Materials range in date from 1977 to 1981.

The Environmentalism Reference Collection contains files of clippings, flyers, announcements, publications, reports and other materials pertaining to environmental matters at the University. This collection was compiled from a variety of sources by the University Archives for use in reference and research.

The Duke Student Engineers' Wives Club was formed in 1949 for the wives of engineering students as a social organization. The collection includes a scrapbook, photograph album of the children of club members, and a few materials related to the operations of the club in the 1950s.

The Ephemera Collection includes event tickets, dining hall placemats, football game tickets, receipts, decals, pins, meal books and tickets, programs, photographcs, and other materials related to student life at Duke.

The Educational Facilities Committee at Duke University was created in 1962 as a standing committee of the University Committee on Long-Range Planning. The Educational Facilities Committee was appointed by the President and concerned itself with supplying adequate educational facilities to meet the needs of educational programs. In 1986, the Educational Facilities Committee and the Chancellor's Environmental Concerns Committee were combined to form the University Committee on Facilities and Environment. Committee chairs include Frank T. de Vyver (1962-1974), Frederick C. Joerg (acting 1969, 1972), George W. Williams (1974-1981), George Pearsall (acting 1977), and Calvin Ward (1981-1986). The collection consists of correspondence, memoranda, reports, minutes, clippings, charts, projections, blueprints, and maps of the Educational Facilities Committee. Major subjects include student housing and dining facilities, the Arts Center, landscaping, the Medical Center, the Art Museum, auditoria, libraries, space assignment and relocation, athletic facilities, and the University Center. Educom (The Interuniversity Communications Council) was formed to provide universities an effective means of collaboration in their efforts to utilize the potential benefits of the emerging communications sciences for educational pursuits. Contains materials that reflect Duke University's membership in Educom and includes correspondence, Educom Bulletins, reports, and minutes. The collection ranges in date from 1963-1972.

A. Hollis Edens served as President of Duke University from 1949-1960. This collection includes material largely of a personal nature, including correspondence, photographs, printed material, clippings, and scrapbooks. The collection ranges in date from circa 1850s-1994.

Howard Easley was a psychologist and professor of Education at Duke University from 1930 to 1957. Collection includes correspondence, course materials, manuscripts, lists, printed matter, and other papers concerning the Education Department, parapsychology, educational psychology, testing and related subjects. Correspondence, 1936-1942, with students, colleagues and editors includes copies of 1938 letters between J.B. Rhine and Virginia Harding, mother of purported psychic Faith Harding.

Heather Murray Elkins received degrees in playwriting and divinity from the University of Arizona, Duke University, and Drew University. She was the first Religion and Arts intern at Duke Chapel and went on to become a professor of worship, preaching, and the arts at Drew University's Theological School. This collection consists of Elkins' scripts, essays, booklets, sermons, and materials for performances at Duke. Also included in the collection is a copy of her book, Forked Tongues: Methods of Creating Bicultural Drama.

Established in 2013, Duke Water Network is a student organization that connects students interested in the field of water resource management with alumni and professionals. The collection consists of events planning materials, administrative and financial records, photographs, and materials related to publicity and outreach. Contents in the collection span 2013 to 2022.

Henry R. Dwire was an alumnus of Trinity College and was appointed Duke University Vice President in 1941 and Director of Public Relations and Alumni Affairs in 1944. The collection includes correspondence, clippings, photographs, certificates and a diploma. The collection ranges in date from 1897-1944.

The Duke University Union Reference Collection contains files of printed materials documenting Union administration and programming. This collection was compiled from a variety of sources by the University Archives for use in reference and research.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Committee (EEOC) was established by President Sanford in April 1970 to monitor the implantation of the University's Affirmative Action Plan. The collection contains minutes, memoranda, copies of affirmative action plans, correspondence, reports, employment and compliance statistics, news articles, and other materials relating to the operations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee. The materials in the collection range in date from 1969-1973.

The John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute at Duke University, often referred to as the Franklin Humanities Institute (FHI), is an interdisciplinary humanities center. The Franklin Humanities Institute Records include annual reports, meeting notes, position descriptions, and planning documents. Also includes photographs and video recordings of the event "From Slavery to Freedom Lab: Black Women Writers at Work."

The Field Education Program administers a full-time summer term and a part-time academic term placements of divinity and church ministries graduate students. The Program began in 1926 under the supervision of Prof. Jesse M. Ormond, but its origins may lie in James B. Duke's donations for assisting rural N.C. churches starting around 1915. The Summer Preaching Program, as it was first known, was administered by the School of Religion in cooperation with the Rural Church Section of The Duke Endowment.
