This collection documents the work of Ann Baker (1936-2016), an abortion rights and LGBTQ+ activist. A resident of New Jersey, she was active in state and federal politics, and was involved in many local and national organizations promoting access to abortion and equality for LGBTQ+ couples. The bulk of this material pertains to Baker's work collecting, documenting and disseminating information relating to the anti-abortion movement in the 1980s-1990s, in particular her work tracking Operation Rescue and other militant anti-abortion organizations. Baker's papers contain periodicals and other publications, correspondence, photographs, clippings and audiovisual materials, which document the anti-abortion movement and the pro-abortion movement's responses. Baker was in contact with organizers, clinics, abortion providers, as well as national anti-abortion and pro-abortion organizations. This collection includes graphic images of fetuses and babies. In some cases, the presence of such materials has been noted at the folder level; however, not every instance was identified.

Re-Imagining was an ecumenical, radical, Christian movement focused on creating ways of understanding Womanist, Feminist, Mujerista, and Asian Feminist theologies, and opening spaces for dialogue with the church, diverse religious communities, and the world. Eighty-two audio files comprise an oral history project by Sherry E. Jordon with 70 participants in the Re-Imagining conferences, including the first gathering in 1993, Re-Imagining: A Global Theological Conference By Women: For Men and Women. Additionally, 127 mp3 files and 79 audiocassettes comprising Re-Imagining conference sessions and rituals from gatherings in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2003, as well as papers documenting the organization's work, including Jordan, Mary Kay Sauter, and Rev. Katherine Austin Mahle's administration files.

John Buettner-Janusch was a professor at Duke University in the 1960s who was convicted of manufacturing illegal drugs in his New York University laboratory in the 1970s and of sending poisoned candy to a New York judge and another Duke professor in 1987.

Courtland Cox (1941- ) is an African American civil rights activist, former member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, and a manager and co-owner of Drum and Spear Bookstore in Washington, D.C. His papers consist of materials related to the Drum and Spear Bookstore and associated organizations, folders related to his tenure as the Secretary General of the Sixth Pan-African Congress in Tanzania, and subject files and audiovisual materias related to the civil rights movement in the South during the 1960s. Audiovisual materials consist largely of oral history interviews with veterans of the civil rights movement. Acquired as part of the John Hope Franklin Research Center for African and African American History and Culture.
