Reverend Clarice M. Bowman, a Duke alumnus, served in several student religious volunteer organizations during her time as a student. She was one of the first women to receive a degree from the School of Religion. The collection includes printed material and form letters concerning student organizations. The collection ranges in date from 1928-1931.

The Revolutionary Workers League (RWL) was a radical left group in the United States active from 1935 until about 1947. The League was formed by Hugo Oehler in November 1935 following a split from the Workers Party (WP), a split precipitated by the party's decision to merge the WP with the Socialist Party. It published the Fighting Worker newspaper. Collection contains letters, memoranda, meeting minutes, party bulletins, financial reports, circulars, and other documents relating to the activities of the Revolutionary Workers League, 1935-1945.

Reynolds Price (1933-2011) was a novelist, short story writer, poet, dramatist, essayist, translator, and James B. Duke Professor of English at Duke University, where he taught creative writing and literature beginning in 1958. He was an alumnus of Duke and of Oxford University, which he attended on a Rhodes Scholarship. He received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, and his books were nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. The collection is comprised of correspondence, writings, serials, clippings, speeches, interviews, legal and financial papers, photographs, audiovisual materials, and digital materials reflecting Price's career and personal life. Personal and professional correspondence document his education at Duke University, especially his studies under William Blackburn; his period abroad as a Rhodes Scholar at Merton College, Oxford; and his literary work and interaction with other authors, including Stephen Spender, Eudora Welty, and Allan Gurganus. Writings include manuscripts, typescripts, proofs, outlines, and notes produced in the creation and publication of all his major works, including: A Long and Happy Life; Kate Vaiden; A Palpable God; Clear Pictures; A Whole New Life; The Collected Stories; The Collected Poems; A Letter to a Godchild; Ardent Spirits; The Good Priest's Son, and many other books, individual stories, poems, and essays.

The Reynolds Student Investment Fund began in 1952 in conjunction with Professor Frederic Joerg's Investments course in the Duke University Department of Economics and Business Administration as a means to introduce students to investment practices. The collection includes financial reports, trust agreements, analyses, and related materials from the years 1952 to 1968.

Rhythm & Blue was founded in 1992 and is Duke's oldest co-ed a cappella group.The collection consists of two of Rhythm & Blue's CDs- House on Fire and Fresh Poison.
