Bank founded in Barcelona in 1926 as Caja de Ahorros Provincial de la Diputacion de Barcelona and renamed Caixa d'Estalvis de Catalunya in the 1970s. Collection consists of a scrapbook of 39 reproductions of a poster campaign for the bank. Some posters are identified by theme, such as "Peace" or "Today and Tomorrow". Bromo-Seltzer was an analgesic patented by Isaac Emerson of Baltimore, Md. in 1888. Booklet was part of World War II-era cooperation with the War Advertising Council and depicts the insignia and some history of U.S. military awards and decoration. Booklet also promotes War Bonds (precursor to Savings Bonds) on back cover as well as advertising Bromo-Seltzer. Acquired as part of the John W. Carlton "Butch" Foust was an advertising executive who worked for J. Walter Thompson, Benton & Bowles, McCann-Erickson and other agencies, often in Latin America and Spain. Collection contains advertising and market research files, client files, brochures, tear sheets, annual reports, case histories, videocassettes, and other files documenting Foust's career as an advertising executive primarily in Latin America and Spain. Materials chiefly relate to Foust's work on behalf of clients such as Kraft Foods, Kellogg, Proctor & Gamble, Coca-Cola, and Unilever, as well as numerous alcoholic beverage companies. Copywriter and advertising executive who began one of the first woman-run advertising agencies in the United States, Hockaday Associates, in New York, N.Y. in 1949. Letter appears on Harper's Bazaar stationery and concerns locating photographers for magazine illustration, editorial and publishing concerns, and a research project to survey ideas of beauty among college-age women. Advertising trade organization founded in 1905 as Associated Advertising Clubs of America, changing its name in 1926 to International Advertising Association and in 1929 to Advertising Federation of America; the first international exposition was held in July 1928 in Detroit, Mich.
