Jamaica Materials (J), 1940s-2013

This series contains original materials, secondary research, and facsimiles and transcriptions of primary sources that chronicle the International Peacemakers Association and Rastafari Movement in Jamaica from the 1950s to 2013. Hill collected these materials, in part, for his Dread History: Leonard P. Howell and Millenarian Visions in the Early Rastafarian Religion (2001), in which he explores Rastafarianism. While Hill gathered his research from the 1980s to 2013, some materials have been given their original date.
