The Writings Series contains Link's creative and scolarly writing, much of it undated. There are general notebooks with drafts of creative work (some with scattered lecture notes included), screenplays, book proposals and drafts, Link's dissertation, along with articles, poetry, and short stories. Much of the material in the series remained unpublished. See the Diaries and Journals Series for Link's commentary about individual items in the series. For the writings in digital formats, some disks contain parts of different projects stored together. In these cases, they often appear in the General sub-series.

Primarily articles by Still and Verna Arvey, as well as books by Arvey and Judith Anne Still. Also included is an article by Langston Hughes pertaining to the libretto he wrote for Troubled Island, and articles by Alain Locke. Includes original publications and photocopies, no manuscript drafts are present.

Largest in the collection, this series contains the bulk of Georgescu-Roegen's articles, lectures, and related material, as well as some material related to his published books. It has been organized into four subseries: General Works, which includes scholarly articles, conference papers, chapter contributions, and other essays; Books, which includes extensive materials from some of his books, but incomplete documentation from other works; Writings about Romania, which contains drafts and notes from his unpublished research on Romanian history and Romanian peasantry; and Speeches.

This series contains the writings of Frank and Jane Slaughter. The bulk of the materials are drafts of Frank Slaughter's works, primarily novels and screenplays and copies of a few published works. Also included are drafts of works by Jane Slaughter. Some publicity materials like published biographical information and news clippings from interviews and advertisements are included. There are also notes and research materials for the novel Constantine: The Miracle of the Flaming Cross.

The Writings series includes three subseries: Published Articles and Columns -primarily J. Claude Evans's writings for The Mountaineer, Drafts, and Prayers. These materials include Evans's writings throughout his career for various pastoral and professional purposes.

Material such as drafts, proofs, and reprints of Weintraub's scholarly writings, including his collaborations with Till Duppe, Ted Gayer, Daniel Graham, and Phil Mirowski, and work as an editor of the journal History of Political Economy. Organized into three subseries: Articles, Book Chapters, and Other Papers; Books; and History of Political Economy.

Includes drafts of Race Relations and the Race Problem; a Definition and an Analysis (1939), Race and Region (1949), Race: Individual and Collective Behavior (1958) and The Plantation: An International Bibliography (1983) and related correspondence. Also includes short published and unpublished papers, a bound volume of collected papers, and Thompson's dissertation, The Plantation (1932).

The writings series includes materials from Franklin's books, articles, speeches, edited works, and miscellaneous writings, including his book reviews, interviews, outlines, and other essays. Files have been arranged by publication format into these various subseries, with detailed descriptions below.

The Writings series comprises a variety of materials connected with the Warners' efforts to document American folk traditions. Includes journal articles and essays, grant applications; materials related to the production of Anne Warner's book, Traditional American Folk Songs, 1984; folk song lyrics, published and unpublished; and Anne Warner's hand-written field research journals and notebooks.

Hinshaw's writings on the international monetary system, international trade, and macroeconomics, along with book reviews and biographical essays. Several manuscripts have not been published and were written as part of his work as a civil servant (see also Professional Activities series). Arranged chronologically.

The Writings series is comprised of material documenting Dr. Segrest's published and unpublished work including books, articles, papers, and other works. The subseries are organized largest (most material) to smallest (least material).

Series includes short stories, novels, t.v. scripts and screenplays, publisher's pitches, along with plays, an article, poetry, and one letter. Some of the novels are written under the pseudonyms Franklin W. Dixon, Lee Davis Willoughby, Frank Max or Max Franklin, with romance novels by Jessica or Charlotte Fen. Two novels are written with others, including Richard Laymon and Colleen Chandler, and there is a publisher's pitch written with Don Woodbeck and Craig Glazer. All writings are typescript, except for an incomplete, handwritten manuscript novel. There are two folders containing research for novels, and Deming's master's thesis is present. Items dating past Deming's death in 1983 include a reprint short story and marketing materials for a novel. There is an information folder for Deming located in box 1.

Notes, drafts, and reprints of articles, publications, and presentations written and given by Trent. Most are related to historical studies of medical practices, particularly surgery and epidemiology. Unless noted, items are undated.

Includes correspondence, memos, and other materials from the Wesley Works Project; course lectures; Divinity School addresses; other lectures; published articles; sermons; and letters to the editor. The series also contains a bound copy of Cushman’s unpublished 1942 doctoral dissertation on Plato, and a copy of The Heritage of Christian Thought; Essays in Honor of Robert Lowry Calhoun (1965). It also contains a few files of research materials. Arranged into three subseries: Wesley Works; Course Lectures; and Articles, Speeches, and Other Writings.

Includes published articles and books, correspondence, drafts and proofs. Organized into two series: Articles and Book File. Articles includes materials relating to periodicals publications; Book File includes materials relating to Wunderman's book Being Direct: Making Advertising Pay. Where possible, original folder titles were retained. Arranged alphabetically by folder title.

Copies, reprints, drafts, notes, other documents, and correspondence associated with Baumol's published works. These include: reprints, copies, and drafts of published journal articles and book chapters; copies of books authored by him, as well as drafts for various book projects; and documents from his referee activity for academic journals and publishers. Additional correspondence can be found in the Correspondence and Research and Notes series.

The (2) Writings Series contains various writings by Price and is divided into the Books, Scribner's Files, Uncollected Fiction and Nonfiction, Price Writing in Serials, Reviews by Price, Addresses and Speeches, and Audiovisual Recordings of Price Regarding Writing subseries. The Books subseries is composed chiefly of drafts, typescripts, and proofs of Price's novels, plays, autobiographical works, and volumes of poetry, many with Price's notations and revisions, and provides a thorough representation of the development of each. Following his death, DUL received the materials for the books Letter to a Godchild; Ardent Spirits; and, Midstream, which were added to their own sub-subseries. Scribner, Price's longtime publisher, provided the materials in Scribner's Files, offering insight into the publishing process. Materials include correspondence, proposals, editing and production notes, marketing and promotion information, and reviews. The Price Writing in Serials subseries contains published essays, poems, and short stories. The Reviews by Price subseries includes Price's writing about other artists' work. Transcripts of his speeches and interviews appear in the Speeches and Addresses subseries. And the Audiovisual Recordings of Price Regarding Writing subseries includes recordings of Price discussing, reading, or performing his written materials and is arranged chronologically.

Notes, drafts, manuscripts, and reprints of articles, excluding those pertaining to Joseph A. Schumpeter. Arranged alphabetically.

Includes notes, fragments, drafts, and copies of published articles. Also includes Clower's book chapters and reviews, public lectures, and responses to other authors. Some of the titles include accompanying correspondence and edits by Clower and his collaborators. Arranged alphabetically by title, with untitled and loose excerpts are at the end.

Consists of a small assortment of drafts and published versions of literary and biographical writings of Wallace Fowlie.

Drafts, notes, and outlines of published and unpublished works written by Foa. In some instances, the files contain reviews and responses to his work from other economists.

Included are typescripts, galley proofs and page proofs for Kanof's Jewish Ceremonial Art and Religious Observance as well as offprints and drafts pertaining to art and medicine by Kanof. Primarily arranged alphabetically by author. Also included are autographed writings given to Dr. Kanof by other others. The typescript of Jewish Ceremonial Art and Religious Observance has been arranged according to the order of its chapters.

The Writings series consists of writings by Robert Cox and other individuals. The writings include published and unpublished; drafts of published works were organized with their published counterpart when possible. The published material written by Cox appeared in numerous publications predominately from Argentina or the United States. There are journalistic pieces along with government or non-profit/NGO reports. A notable feature of the series is the written work of colleagues and researchers investigating journalism in Latin America, especially Argentina, and United States human rights policy.

This series contains copies, reprints, drafts, notes, and other documents associated with Arrow's published works. These include: reprints and copies of published journal articles and book chapters; copies of his books, including translated versions; contributions to festschrfit volumes; and documents from his referee activity for academic journals and publishers.

The Writings Series includes notes, outlines, drafts, and published versions of the Matlocks' writings. Materials are grouped into subseries by type of work and author.

Includes most of Solow's major publications and co-publications (see bibliography for the few exceptions). These include his PhD dissertation, speeches, lectures, invited lectures, panel discussions, op-ed pieces, journal articles, brochures, pamphlets, reviews of his works and his responses to said reviews, congressional testimony, and memorial tributes, as well as the rough drafts and/or notes for these documents. Arranged chronologically.

Material such as drafts, proofs, reprints, contracts, and reviews that relate to Nerlove's published and unpublished writings. The primary subjects are related to agricultural economics and econometrics and are supply and demand, especially elasticity and distributed lags; time series analysis, including the application of spectral analysis; production functions, including the application of duality and estimation theories; panel analysis; welfare economics and family demography; and agricultural development, economic aspects of population, and environmental economics. Nerlove's primary coauthors were Francis Diebold, Heinz König, Evelyn Lehrer, Assaf Razin, and Efraim Sadka. Organized into four subseries: Articles, Book Chapters, and Other Writings; Books; Referee Reports; and Notes and Reviews.

Radner's published and unpublished papers with related material. Related material can include correspondence with editors and colleagues, multiple drafts with handwritten notes, handwritten sheets of mathematical developments, numerical sheets of simulation or experimental data, others' papers (not always annoted), transparencies and other presentation-related material, and newspaper and magazine clippings. Most of the papers are academic; those that are related to his consulting activities have typically then served as the basis for subsequent academic publications. Arranged alphabetically.
