The first group of files represents Scitovsky's last work on violence and its connection to social boredom. Other files contain drafts, lectures, clippings, articles, and notes for earlier research topics: consumer and human satisfaction; the US economy and social conditions; market economies; the problems of affluence; growth and stagnation; and inflation. Another grouping contains notes, drafts, and photographs that contributed to his memoirs, published in part under the title "A Proud Hungarian." The bulk of the material represents his research dating from the 1980s-2000; earlier works are best represented in their final published form in the Printed Material series. Materials within subgroupings are arranged in original order as received.

The Writings and Speeches series contains notes, articles, drafts, and published works by Riddick. Notable in this series are the working editions of Senate Procedure: Precedents and Practices and the 1989and 1992editions entitled Riddick's Senate Procedure.

The largest in the collection, this series is subdivided into four subseries: Research and Writings, Speeches and Lectures, Writings by Others, and Non-Academic Works. The most extensive subseries, Research and Writings subseries, contains a wealth of notes, data, subject files, and writings that underpinned and informed nearly all of Modigliani's most significant published works. These extensive files document the evolution of Modigliani's thought on a wide range of economic, social, and political topics, and the amount of material in this series contributed by his colleagues serves to underscore Modigliani's collaborative approach to research and writing.

Divided into four subseries: Speeches, Published Articles, Other Writings, St. Louis; and Other Writings, 1960-2001 and undated This series documents Jones's continuous dedication to writing. The bulk of the materials, 1955-1972, correspond to his advertising interests and consist of text and correspondence related to speeches (written for himself and occasionally for others) and related to articles submitted for publication. This series consists of essays, speeches, articles, and book reviews written by Shestack over the course of his life and professional career. Most materials are related to legal and human rights work, but some personal writing is included as well, including eulogies, personal introductions, Shestack's World War II diary, and his autobiographical memoir.

Consists primarily of typewritten speeches written by Jock Elliott for presentation at meetings of O&M; the AAAA; as well as at invited talks at other organizations, clubs, colleges and universities. Includes some speeches written during Elliott's employment at BBDO between 1945 and 1956. Also included are hand- and typewritten drafts and published copies of Elliott's articles written for Cosmopolitan and the New York Times Magazine, of Elliott's two books on Christmas, as well as miscellaneous short writings and poems. Includes Elliott's eulogy for David Ogilvy written for the edited volume Farewell: The Greatest Eulogies of Our Time. The majority of speeches arrived in chronological order, with some appearing interspersed among loose files of other series. Speeches from correspondence, meeting and printed matter series were removed and placed in this series, in chronological order. Elliott's other writings arrived unfoldered and in no apparent order. Where possible, they were foldered and arranged alphabetically by title.
