Women art students posting as a group in the classroom with an unidentified male instructor, circa 1900 Box 8, Image RL.11785-P-0511

Signed by many of the women on mount. There are about thirty women and one male instructor at center. Sketches of models appear on one wall. Penciled on back is the word "Barbizon," but the Barbizon Hotel was built in 1927, and no Barbizon school painter matches the instructor's image. Modern mat is roughly 31 x 40 1/2 cm.
