Image is of a group of five older women in work dresses and aprons, apparently churning butter in a brick paved courtyard. Card is addressed to Miss Williams, Annestown, Tramore, which is a coastal town in southeast Ireland. The message reads: " 'My word,' if I catch you talking," followed by illegible initials.

"1766" and "Terry" are penciled on back of paper mount in what seems to be a modern hand.

The women are wearing what were called "Zouave" uniforms; they were either showing their support for Civil War Union troops, probably from Maine, or they actually served in some capacity with a Union troop.

This studio portrait features a camera with a promotional banner for Mrs. Young, Photographer, and a woman who may or may not be Mrs. Young, whose dress, accessories, and hair are festooned with sample photographic portraits. Card mount is pink with gilt scalloped edges.

Stereocard, printed in color, undated, unsigned, is a reproduction of a photograph of a Chippewa woman sitting by the side of a birch canoe under construction, with a handful of other female and male builders in the background.

Blind stamp on lower right corner of dark gray mount: Towne and Whitney / Gardner, Mass. Image is of two horse drawn vehicles in a tree-lined street; one is a laundry wagon with a banner on the horse advertising the service's benefits (we can not crack collars). The wagon in front seems to have a child in it and another person, and is covered with flowers.

Penciled on back: Elizabeth Shaw. No other markings. Dark gray mount suggests it may be a companion of P-0506 of a laundry service's rolling advertisement wagon.
