The International Association is an apolitical, non-religious student organization that promotes socio-cultural relations among American and International students. The collection contains miscellaneous correspondence, clippings, announcements, list of past president and members, newsletters, and other materials pertaining to international student associations at Duke, nationally, and at other schools. Materials in the collection range in date from 1961-1987.

International Comparative Studies (ICS) is an undergraduate interdisciplinary academic program affiliated with Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. The collection's files document the program's academic mission and operations, chiefly dating from the 1980s to 2011, and comprise course files, correspondence and memos, budget and grant files, alumni information, newsletter files, student work, questionnaires, materials on programming and conferences, and files about related Duke offices such as Trinity Arts and Sciences and Comparative Area Studies.

The International House's mission is to assist international students, faculty and their families with orientation and acclimation, and enhance cross-cultural interaction through programming and community outreach and to provide advocacy and support for the Duke International Community. The collection contains some correspondence, clippings, directories of students and faculty, audiocassettes, slides, printed material, scrapbooks and information about orientation and other programs sponsored by the International House. The material ranges in date from 1961-2020.

The program was established in 1977 with funding from the Greater Charlotte Foundation. The program became fully operational in the 1978-1979 academic year under the directorship of Ralph Braibanti. Studies focused primarily on the Arabian Peninsula and its social, economic, and political developments, and on the resurgence of Islam, with some attention also paid to Arabic archaeology, art, language, law and literature. Collection contains primarily reports and other printed materials, along with conference programs, and a small amount of the Director's correspondence. Materials range in date from 1976-2000.

Jarvis House, named for former North Carolina Governor Thomas J. Jarvis, was built of white pressed brick and Indiana sandstone and roofed with green tile. It was completed and occupied in October 1912. The collection contains the records of Jarvis House, a residence hall for undergraduate female students at Duke University.

Jazz @ was initially created in 2003 as a weekly jam session at the Mary Lou Williams Center for Black Culture, and it is now run by a committee of students as part of the Duke University Union's (DUU's) weekly jazz programming committee. The records include: emails; sign-up lists; event and meeting information; flyers; playlists; and financial and administrative materials.The records represented in the collection are from 2017-2018, when Duke student Philip Moss served as president of the Jazz @ committee. Some of the events covered in the collection include: Jazz @ The Coffeehouse; Jazz Brunch; and Latin Jazz Night.

The Latino/a Studies in the Global South program at Duke University was formally created in 2008. The program offers an undergraduate certificate and promotes interdisciplinary research, teaching, and study related to Latino and Latina communities, particularly in the U.S. South and the Global South. The Latino/a Studies in the Global South Records include the files of the Executive Director of the program from 2008-2016.

Duke Latinx Business Organization (LBO) is a student-run organization founded in 2019 to support Latinx students interested in pursuing careers in business. Duke LBO provides members with access to information, networking opportunities, professional development resources, and mentorships. This collection consists of meeting agendas and notes, resources for profession development, and materials related to programming, recruitment, and community engagement. Materials span 2019 to 2021.

The LGBT Task Force makes ongoing assessments of attitudes and conditions throughout the University regarding gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons and issues. Records include minutes, agenda, correspondence, reports, printed email, clippings, printed matter, and other records of the Task Force.

Collection Strategy & Development, previously the Collection Development Office, coordinates the strategic development and management of collections for Duke University Libraries (DUL). The Library Collection Development records contains materials related to the Collection Council, strategic planning, policies, budgets, staff training, the history of the library and its collection, collection development, and acquisitions.

Contains records of the Duke University Library Administration, primarily under Jerry D. Campbell's administration, ca. 1984-1995. Types of materials include subject files, correspondence, minutes, annual reports, budgets, evaluations, contracts, and miscellaneous notes pertaining to the operation and management of the Duke University Libraries since around 1930. Major topics include academic library administration, space utilization, statistics, Jerry D. Campbell, information networks, library cooperation, catalog automation, and budgets. The bulk of materials (A2002-88) are from 1989-1994. English.

The Perkins Library Suggestion/Answer book was a loose-leaf binder set up in the lobby of Perkins Library from 1982 until about 2006 in which people could write comments, suggestions, or questions, which were answered in the book by the Answer Person, a librarian. The collection consists of the original pages of the Perkins Library Suggestion/Answer book ranging from 1982 to approximately 2006. These pages have handwritten questions and typed responses as well as some items or materials attached to the original pages.

Includes newsletters created by the library for Duke University faculty announcing new acquisitions and library news, as well as accession books, collection acquisition information, statistics, bookplates, and other materials.

The Library Council is a faculty advisory committee for the Library. Minutes, agendas, membership lists, and related records of the Duke University Library Council with a card index for records from 1940-1979.

Project files from the multi-year SNCC Digital Gateway Project. Made possible by the generous support of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the SNCC Digital Gateway: Learn from the Past, Organize for the Future, Make Democracy Work is a collaborative project of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC—pronounced "Snick") Legacy Project, Duke's Center for Documentary Studies, and Duke University Libraries.

The Diversity Working Group (DWG) was formed in 1999 with a charge to plan, facilitate, and conduct programs related to diversity within the Duke University Libraries (DUL). This collection contains materials related to the work of the DWG, including correspondence, memos, and other materials related to workshops, surveys, and other projects conducted.

The Lutheran Campus Ministry serves Lutheran students at Duke and North Carolina Central University. The collection contains materials related to the operations of the organization dating back to 1946.

In existence since the early 1900s, the Duke University Marching Band (DUMB) is an integral part of Duke University sports, providing music and vocal support to university games such as football and basketball. Materials in the collection include administrative records (of the DUMB organization), correspondence, handbooks, game schedules, flyers, the DUMB newsletter, drum heads from the 1958 Orange Bowl and 1961 Cotton Bowl football games, and rosters of alumni.

The Duke University Marine Laboratory, founded in 1938, educates undergraduate and graduate students in the marine sciences. Part of the Nicholas School of the Environment, the Beaufort, North Carolina laboratory is also a renowned center of scientific research. The Marine Laboratory Records include photographs, correspondence, memoranda, minutes, recommendations, and reports documenting the Laboratory's work and administration. Major subjects include marine biology, oceanography, and zoology; research and study of the marine sciences; the Marine Biomedical Center; oceanic research vessels including the Monitor; and John D. Costlow, the director of the Laboratory for many years.
